Museum Mondays: Baltimore Poe House and Museum
February 3rd, 2014 by WLOY Staff
Where: 203 Amity Street
Recently his 205th birthday, this little house at 203 Amity street (originally No. 3 Amity) was Edgar Allan Poe’s home until his death in 1849. So much history is left in this small home. Saved from the demolition in 1941 thanks to the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore, this house was left untouched. His original writing desk and other personal items are on display.

What Is The WLOY Staff Listening To?
January 31st, 2014 by WLOY Staff
Kat O’Brien – Lorde – “Team” – Pure Heroine – [itunes link=”https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/team/id703590196?i=703590286&uo=4″ title=”Itunes”]
The world’s new favorite New Zealander, Lorde, has been topping charts internationally with her first album, Pure Heroine. Although her first single, Royals, is arguably her most popular, I would say that her song “Team” deserves equal or more praise. Give it a listen and your ears are almost guaranteed to enjoy.
