If you’re looking for unique attractions, great food, screenings of film by local directors and a variety of artisan crafts, then the Greater Lauraville Fair is where you want to be. To make the fair even better, WLOY will be there today from 11-7! Come to the Greater Lauraville Fair and hang out with WLOY because we will still be giving away tickets to a variety of shows at Ramshead Live! And, yes, it is FREE! Remember that each event you attend that WLOY is also present, you can re-enter in our raffle and INCREASE your chances of winning a pair of free tickets!

9/23 Late Night Concert

Throughout the year, WLOY hosts various Late Nights, aiming to give students things to do on and off campus. The first of the semester was a free concert held in McGuire hall. The bands included Beauty and the Greek, Red Sammy, and Loyola Alum Hip-Hop group, A Cool Stick. So if you’re looking for something fun on Thursday nights, be sure to look out for future Late Night events!!

WLOY Late Night Concert This Thursday!!

This Thursday, September 23, WLOY’s Late Night Concert returns! Head over to McGuire Hall from 8pm to 12am for this FREE concert!! Loyola’s own Beauty and the Greek – comprised of Maria Dontas ’12 and John Herbster ’12 – will be opening at 8:30, followed by Red Sammy and then ending with Loyola grads, A Cool Stick.

A live special edition of Both Feet In! Dr. Sylvia Park speaks with Monifa Wilson about her job working with homeless youth in Baltimore City. She shares what it’s like working as a Service Navigator for the City Steps program of AIRS (AIDS Interfaith Residential Services, www.airshome.org), how she chose to work with youth who are experiencing homelessness, and the insights she’s gained along the way. Prior to earning her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland, Ms. Wilson worked for 10 years in various positions such as a community organizer for a union, a case manager at a homeless day shelter in New York City, and working with foster care children. WLOY will be in the Boulder lobby on Friday from 11am-1pm broadcasting live with a Top 20 countdown of today’s greatest rock n roll hits. Here at WLOY, we care about your ears. We want to make them happy by playing great songs so that you may feel compelled to tap your foot or sing along. Be sure to stop by the WLOY table and say “hi” because you never know when we might be giving away FREE stuff like CDs, posters and concert tickets! Your ears will be glad you did.
