Tourism Tuesdays: Baltimore National Aquarium
November 18th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
What: National Aquarium
Where: 501 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202
When: Open Dailey (Hours Vary)
If you’re here in Baltimore, you can’t miss out on the National Aquarium, where the mystery of beautiful underwater life is revealed. While some people may say, “Once you’ve seen one aquarium, you’ve seen them all”, the Baltimore National Museum is especially worth seeing. Its exhibits include sea creatures from all over the world, and the museum works hard to help preserve our oceans and the species that inhabit them, which are increasingly disappearing as our environment changes. Located in the heart of Baltimore’s inner harbor, you can make a day, or even two, out of a day at the aquarium and all the fun things the harbor has to offer! Find out more here!

NEw Team To Beat In The AFC?
November 17th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
The rest of the AFC looked on in fear at the scene at Lucas Oil Field last night as the New England Patriots made a statement by manhandling the Indianapolis Colts in Indianapolis, winning 42-20.
New England has been surging after a rough start to the season, but until yesterday, they were still number two in the AFC to the Broncos, and just above the Colts for number three.
However, with the impressive display the Patriots put on against the Colts in their own house last night, and the Broncos upset loss with some injuries thrown in to the Rams, it’s hard to argue against the Patriots as the top team in the AFC.

Sports Saturdays: Duquette and Showalter Snag Season Awards
November 15th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
The Balitmore Orioles can say they are home to the 2014 MLB Executive of the Year, and the 2014 AL Manager of the Year.
Dan Duquette, who is the executive vice president of baseball operations for the Orioles, was given the award on Monday after his leadership in the front office helped the O’s to their best season in 17 years.
Duquette won the award back in 1992 as well, when he was the general manager for the Montreal Expos.
Big signings and roster manipulation carried out by Duquette were crucial to the O’s success this season. Not only did Duquette manage to sign big names like Nelson Cruz and Andrew Miller, he was also able to find players that were disregarded by other teams, players he knew had loads of potential.

Theatre Thursdays: “Gone Girl” at Senator Theatre
November 13th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
What: Gone Girl at Senator Theatre
Where: Senator Theatre
When: Various Show times
Unless you’re one of those people who refuses to watch a film after you’ve already read it in book form, Gone Girl is a must-see, and it’s right here in Baltimore! Based on Gillian Flynnunearths best seller, Gone Girl tells the story of Nick Dunne, whose wife, Amy, has gone missing. When Dunne, played by Ben Affleck, reports his wife’s disappearance, investigations turn what once seemed to be the ideal marriage into a crumbling union of man and wife. Under police and media pressure, Dunne’s lies and odd behavior make him a suspect of the disappearance (murder?) of Amy Dunne. I don’t want to spoil the twisted thriller, so I will say no more. Just head down to Senator Theatre, grab your large popcorn (extra butter!), and your box of “Buncha Crunch”, and enjoy unraveling the mystery! See show times here!
