Bosco Interview & Performance

Thursday, June 14th, 2012 by The Professor

Bosco Drums

On May 15, 2012, Brittany Bosco and her bandmates stopped by the station to put on a quick show for us. We set up an impromptu performance space in the main lobby of the building, complete with moving blankets to try to knock down some of the sound – of which there was a lot! They were great, and put up with our quickly improvised production setup very nicely. Check out more Bosco online.

Congratulations to the Men’s Lax – NCAA Champs!

Making their first final round NCAA Men’s Lacrosse appearance since 1990, when current Coach Charley Toomey was the Hounds goalie, against the University of Maryland, Loyola set a number of NCAA records.  After going down 3-2 early in the game, Loyola turned the tide shutting out Maryland for more than 40 minutes and scoring 7 unanswered goals.  In the process, Eric Lusby broke the NCAA post-season record netting his 17th goal in the decisive crushing of the Terps, and set a school season record with 54 goals.  Loyola, who started the season unranked, also tied the record for most wins in a season (18) with Duke, and is the smallest school to ever win the NCAA Division 1 title.  If not for a pesky overtime goal by Johns Hopkins, Loyola would have finished the season undefeated and with the record of 19 wins.  We’ll work on that for next year.

Good Luck on Finals!

Monday, April 30th, 2012 by The Professor

Yes it’s that sad time of the year again. All our senior friends, well, most of them (you know who you are) will be leaving us and going off into the big, scary world. There’s still time to fail a final and stick around for one more year, or at least the summer! But, if you really must spread your wings and fly, we wish you success in all your final exams and papers. Enjoy Senior Week and come back for Graduation healthy!
