Duckpin Bowling 2010!

If you’re not from the area, you may be asking yourself ‘What is duckpin bowling?’ The best and most simple answer to that is, it’s just a lot of fun. A group of students went off campus to Stoneleigh Lanes and enjoyed their unlimited bowling experience, complete with a WLOY playlist and delicious pizza!

Tourism Tuesday: National Aquarium in Baltimore

To kick off Tourism Tuesday, it’s go big or go home. One of the biggest and best attractions in Baltimore is none other than the National Aquarium. Whether you’re just in town for the weekend or a Harbor regular, the aquarium is constantly filled with new exhibits and new adventures.
As home to over 16,000 specimens, including birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles, there is never a shortage on memorable experiences. Right now you can see what it’s like to go underwater, with both the “Jellies Invasion: Oceans Out of Balance,” showing the real health of our planet, and the new dolphin show, “Our Ocean Planet,” from their point of view. GLOW IN THE DARK Zombie T-Shirts are Here!

The Zombie t-shirts have arrived! We will be selling them for $10 outside of Boulder Garden Cafe from 11am-1pm on Fridays this month (10/8, 10/22, 10/29).
Just a reminder, these shirts have ink that GLOWS IN THE DARK!!! How many shirts do you own that do that? I’m not betting that many of you do, but if you do, let me know because I want to see them.
For those of you who did our pre-order for the shirt, they will be available for pickup at any WLOY event coming up this month, or you can come down to the station in Bellarmine Hall between 11am and 11pm Monday through Friday and pick it up. Call 410.617.5313 if you have any questions.

Greater Lauraville Fair

Little Kids playing. Animals roaming. Home-made food. Live Music. What could be better? Lauraville Fair incorporated all these things on September 25th. From delicious peach cobbler to handmade jewelry, there were plenty of tents to stop and shop at. They even had a llama! Seriously, a llama. Not for sale unfortunately.
