Snapchat’s Discover Feature is actually amazing
March 10th, 2015 by WLOY Staff
So guys, I know Snapchat’s update and the addition of the Discover feature was totally overshadowed by their decision to take away who can see “best friends” on the app, but have you taken a minute to check out the feature? It’s actually pretty amazing and it has the chance to revolutionize how young Americans consume news, new music and so much more. For example, Warner Music has a tab which features newly released music video, in full, and the more you swipe left, the more artist you can discover. This is a genius way to share music with listeners. Food Network has a tab where they share fun, easy recipes that, quite frankly, just make me really hungry. National Geographic’s snap tab show’s a marine biologist attaching a camera to the back of a whale today. If that’s not amazing, please tell me what is.
So in summation, please explore the new features that snapchat is offering to us, for free, because it’s pretty cool and you can find out some highlights of the what going on in the world around you without having to ever look away from your phone screen; there really isn’t anything more we could ask for.
Also, if you haven’t heard WLOY has a snap chat and it’s amazing, so you should add us. WLOYLoyolaRadio

Sports Saturdays: Dude, Where’s My Racecar?
February 28th, 2015 by WLOY Staff
NASCAR just turned into an Ashton Kutcher comedy down in Morrow, Georgia as Team Xtreme Racing driver Travis Kvapil is left saying, “Dude, where’s my car?”
Kvapil’s No. 44 car was in a trailer in a hotel parking lot in Morrow, Georgia in preparation for this weekend’s race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. At 5:34am, the trailer, with the car and spare parts inside, was stolen.
Team Xtreme now finds themselves without a car for the race this weekend, and had to withdraw from the race Friday morning.
Kvapil reported the theft through Twitter while keeping a good sense of humor about him.
“Wow. Anyone near Atlanta find my stolen Cup car let me know! Unreal,” Kvapil first tweeted at 9:13am. Read the rest of this entry »
