Congratulations to Chelsey Puglisi and Jess Dohman of Fun Fixins for achieving the title of December DJs of the Month! Chelsey and Jess are two of WLOY’s sophomore rookie DJs, but any listener would think they were veterans. Tune in on Thursdays from 12-1pm for a midday selection of alt rock and small talk from this charismatic duo.

Museum Monday: “The Wounded Drummer Boy”

This extensive exhibition brings together works of art, such as Eastman Johnson’s Study for “The Wounded Drummer Boy” from the Brooklyn Museum, and objects of material culture, such as weaponry, musical instruments, and clothing, to tell the stories of the war, from the soldiers who fought in its battles to the home front. Thursday: Late Night Concert with SwampCandy

Museum Mondays: Facing Our Community

Facing Our Community is a small exhibition of the original artwork of Maryland middle and school students. The theme of the exhibition is Revealing the African Presence in Renaissance Europe. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the African culture of the past, while engaging and supporting the young community of artists whose work is displayed.
Be sure to take a trip down to The Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Charles St. Baltimore, MD. The exhibit will be open until Sunday, February 3rd. For more information please call 410-547-9000!

This exhibit honors the Life and Poetic Legacy of Lucille Clifton portrayed through the photographs of Lynda Koolish in conjunction with Furious Flower Poetry Center, James Madison University. Lucille Clifton exhibits the epitome of a life well lived, which is depicted in this exhibit. You are invited to get to know former Maryland Poet Laureate this Museum Monday!
