WLOY Hosts President’s Cup Baseball Tournament
April 6th, 2011 by The Professor
WLOY is thrilled to announce our selection as the DJs and hosting station for the Inaugural President’s Cup Baltimore City High School Baseball Tournament. This fantastic new event, created by Baltimore City Council President Bernard “Jack” Young, will pit public and private school teams against one another over 2 weekends in April. The final championship game will be played at the home of the Orioles – Camden Yards! WLOY will be carrying 4 of the games live on the radio on April 9 and 16, and posting download versions of all the games online shortly after they finish. Rain Delays have caused some schedule changes, but the last semi-final game will be Saturday April 30, 9am, at Gilman. The championship game will be Sunday May 1 at noon at Camden Yards. No worries if you miss a game but we’d love to see a big crowd at each location!
