Wacky Wednesday: Summer Solstice Festival

June 8th, 2011 by WLOY Staff

The longest day of the year is upon us – the Summer Solstice. On Saturday June 18, the Baltimore Art & Music Project is hosting the first Summer Solstice Festival.

All day long there will be performances by Jay, The Planet Uptune Band, Alex Cotsaris, Chris Rockbourne, Strum The Fox, Jayson Gaynor & Bob Smith, Aaron Walker & Spiritual Rhythms, Echoes in Color, and Clockbreaker. While these local artists play on, there will be blocks of artists, vendors, craftspeople, fun for kids, and more! Admission is only $5 – and it’s free for kids 12 and under!

The festival will be taking place from 11AM until 6PM at Chesterwood Park, located on Chesterwood Road in Dundalk, MD. For some more adult fun, later in the evening, the Solstice Twilight will be held from 7PM until 11PM at the Hard Yacht Cafe on 8500 Cove Road in Dundalk, MD.
