Theater Thursday: Les Miserables
February 17th, 2011 by WLOY Staff
For all you theater junkies and revolution enthusiasts living in Baltimore, Les Misérables is finally coming to Charm City. The brand new 25th anniversary production, brought to us by Cameron Mackintosh, promises a fresh interpretation of the legendary play that has roamed the world over since its French debut in 1980 and its English debut in 1985. Les Misérables, based on Victor Hugo’s classic 1862 novel of the same name, tells the gripping tale of the endurance of love and life amongst the horrors of the French Revolution. As the third longest-running show in Broadway history, there is little chance that you will leave disappointed.
Les Misérables will be performed at the Hippodrome every night from March 1st until March 6th, with additional mezzanine performances on its final two days. For more information visit their website.
