Sports Saturdays: Loyola Men’s Soccer takes on James Madison

September 22nd, 2012 by WLOY Staff

It is Saturday night. The Laundry is done. You have saved the universe and taken back Earth with your Commander Shepard on your game console. What is there to do now?

Well, maybe watch James Madison and Loyola play soccer together?

It would be really weird if the Greyhounds were going after the fourth president of the United States, James Madison. However, the Men’s soccer team will be facing the James Madison Dukes this Saturday at 7pm. This match up that will take place at Ridley Athletic Complex will be one for the ages.

In their first away game, the Dukes will be coming into the match up with a 3-2-1 record. James Madison is hoping that record will mean something as Loyola currently holds the upper ground with a 6-1-1 overall records against the Dukes.

The Hounds are in a very similar spot with the Dukes. The Hounds are 3-3-1 on the year. They are having a completely average year but that doesn’t mean anything yet. With taking on James Madison, they would have completed one third of their season in the hope of winning a MAAC championship and maybe even more.

But don’t you have to go to games to find out how this saga turns out?

All Home games are played at the Ridley Athletic Complex and shuttles usually take students from campus to the facility. So grab your recently washed clothes, invite Commander Shepard (preferably real friends) and support the Greyhounds especially this Saturday at 7pm.
