Sports Saturdays: Lingerie Football League
November 13th, 2010 by WLOY Staff
Like watching football, but wish it was a sexier sport? Look no further than the Lingerie Football League (LFL), a women’s 7-on-7 tackle American football league created in 2009. The concept of this alternative football league started as entertainment in the halftime show of the Super Bowl in 2004. One of the highest viewed pay-per-view events, it was turned into a professional sporting event. Baltimore premiered its very own team this year – the Baltimore Charm.
The team’s record is currently 1-2, with their next game coming up on Friday November 19 against the Miami Caliente. It airs on MTV2 at 9pm EST.
