Review:
Lia Juno is an alt-indie pop singer who has almost ethereal vocals and intimately melancholic lyrics that make every song feel special and different to listeners. Her songs tend to orbit themes of emotional gravity such as quiet moments of connection, longing, and self-expression and reflection. In one of her more recent singles, “Nowhere Alone,” she expresses that similar late-night soft sound with relaxed beats that fit her vocals incredibly.
“Nowhere Alone” is one of the clearest examples of her songs and how they capture the attention of listeners without having to be loud and eccentric. The song opens very gently with calm instrumentals. Lia Juno’s vocals are steady and clear as she sings about carrying someone with you even when they aren’t physically there. This song stands out amongst the rest by how effortlessly the artist appears to capture the depth of the emotion in both her lyrics and the instrumentals and vocals of the song.
If you are into relaxed, yet emotional artists such as The Japanese House, Faye Webster, Clairo, or Gracie Abrams, please consider listening to “Nowhere Alone” by Lia Juno, or any or her other singles!
