Queen B. Interview
March 13th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
Kat and Rae sat down with QueenEarth, Janice B. and their producer Maurice, who collectively make up QueenB. on February 18th. The talented two piece band puts out harmonious, acoustic tracks that combine guitar, beautiful vocals and rap. Their songs preach love and acceptance, and are chill-inducing. QueenEarth is a WLOY alum, being a former DJ and staffer, so this visit wasn’t her first rodeo. The interview was laugh filled, and we even learned where their cupcakes allegiance lay. What Is The WLOY Staff Listening To?
March 13th, 2014 by WLOY Staff
Kate Marshall – Soko – “We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow” – I Thought I Was An Alien
I was watching this really endearing video of 20 strangers that were paired up to kiss for the first time (trust me, you don’t get second hand embarrassment that you assume would come with watching that…check it out here) and about 30 seconds in, this hauntingly beautiful song chimes in with the line “if you’re not ready for love, how can you be ready for life” and I was instantly hooked to this french singer/songwriter. Paired with the video, the videographer and artist created such a charming and intimate moment I wasn’t really expecting at all.

What: Baltimore’s World Trade Center
Where: E Pratt Street
Baltimore’s World Trade Center – the world’s tallest pentagonal building – is a must-see for anyone visiting Charm City. That’s because the 27th-floor observation deck “Top of the World” – offers panoramic views of the Inner Harbor and Baltimore’s historic waterfront neighborhoods. It’s a great place to get a sense of the city. The observation level also contains exhibits about Baltimore and its economic renaissance.
