1. 1957: American Bandstand’s first airing on ABC, helping bring rock ‘n’ roll to mainstream audience.
2. 1978: The Rolling Stones performed at the “Saturday Night Live” 4th season premiere.
3. 1982: Led Zeppelin’s posthumous album Coda was announced, following the death of drummer John Bonham.
4. 1996: Faith Hill’s It Matters to Me album was certified 3× Platinum in the U.S.
5. 2016: Bob Dylan was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for his contributions to music and songwriting.
