1. 1991: Nirvana’s second studio album, ‘Nevermind,’ was released. It became one of the defining albums of the grunge era and propelled Nirvana to international fame.
2. 1997: Radiohead released their critically acclaimed third studio album, ‘OK Computer.’ The album is often cited as one of the greatest of all time and marked a significant evolution in the band’s sound.
3. 2000: Madonna released her eighth studio album, ‘Music.’ The album featured a blend of electronic and pop music influences and became a commercial success worldwide.
4. 2010: Pete Quaife, the original bass guitarist for The Kinks, passed away on June 24, 2010. Quaife played a key role in the band’s early success and was an influential figure in the British Invasion music scene.
5. 2016: Bernie Worrell, the influential keyboardist known for his work with Parliament-Funkadelic and Talking Heads, died on June 24, 2016. Worrell’s innovative keyboard playing left a lasting impact on funk, rock, and hip-hop music.
