1. 1935: The premiere of “Porgy and Bess” by George Gershwin takes place in Boston, Massachusetts.
2. 1964: The Beatles release their album “A Hard Day’s Night” in the UK.
3. 1975: The Eagles release their album “One of These Nights,” which becomes a major hit.
4. 2004: Ray Charles, the legendary American singer and pianist, passes away.
5. 2014: Rock band Pearl Jam performs their longest show ever in Amsterdam, Netherlands, lasting nearly 3.5 hours.
