1. 1957: American Bandstand, hosted by Dick Clark, made its national television debut on ABC.
2. 1966: The Beatles released their album “Revolver” in the UK.
3. 1984: Prince’s “Purple Rain” started a 24-week run at No.1 on the US album chart.
4. 1989: The B-52s’ single “Love Shack” was released.
5. 1992: Jeff Porcaro, drummer for Toto, died from a heart attack.
