February 3rd, 2014 by WLOY Staff
Where: 203 Amity Street
Recently his 205th birthday, this little house at 203 Amity street (originally No. 3 Amity) was Edgar Allan Poe’s home until his death in 1849. So much history is left in this small home. Saved from the demolition in 1941 thanks to the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore, this house was left untouched. His original writing desk and other personal items are on display.
