9479073The MLL (Major League Lacrosse) just added a new expansion team called the Florida Launch. The Launch’s first ever coach will be none other than Loyola alum Stan Ross.

Ross graduated from Loyola in 1995 and played lacrosse as a defender for the Hounds for three years. Ross even started his coaching career in 1995 as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Greyhounds.

Ross has also coached at the University of Denver and Princeton University, but was most recently an assistant coach for the Denver Outlaws, an MLL team who went 14-0 last year with Ross on staff.

Ross has said, “It is an honor to be named the first head coach in Florida Launch history,” and we certainly wish him all the best. For more information on the MLL and the Florida Launch, visit the website here.
