Museum Mondays: Facing Our Community

Facing Our Community is a small exhibition of the original artwork of Maryland middle and school students. The theme of the exhibition is Revealing the African Presence in Renaissance Europe. This is the perfect opportunity to learn about the African culture of the past, while engaging and supporting the young community of artists whose work is displayed.

Be sure to take a trip down to The Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Charles St. Baltimore, MD. The exhibit will be open until Sunday, February 3rd. For more information please call 410-547-9000!

Museum Mondays: Won’t You Celebrate With Me?

This exhibit honors the Life and Poetic Legacy of Lucille Clifton portrayed through the photographs of Lynda Koolish in conjunction with Furious Flower Poetry Center, James Madison University. Lucille Clifton exhibits the epitome of a life well lived, which is depicted in this exhibit. You are invited to get to know former Maryland Poet Laureate this Museum Monday!

Wacky Wednesday: Monster Mash Dance Party!

Where: Modawmin Mall, 2401 Liberty Heights Avenue
The Modawmin Mall is hosting the Halloween Kids Fest this Wednesday, October 31st. Kids Fest is a seasonal celebration featuring plenty of family friendly activities. Parents are welcome to bring their children ages 2-12 for an evening filled with games music and a costume contest! All kids are welcome and encouraged to come in costume! Children must be accompanied by an adult. The mall will host trick-or-treating for kids from 6pm to 8pm. Come and celebrate this Halloween with the family this Wacky Wednesday!
