Who doesn’t like a good festival with delicious food and good music? Hampdenfest is the place go to find both those things. Did we mention the annual toilet bowl racers? Yes, really, it’s a sight you won’t soon forget. WLOY will be there with our tent spinning great tunes for your entertainment. Don’t miss the multiple stages of great local bands performing all day long. Free shuttles will be running to/from the Loyola campus for students all day long as well!

The sultan of swat! The titan of terror! The colossus of clout! The king of crash! THE GREAT BAMBINO! If you have seen “Sandlot” or enjoy baseball then you know I’m talking about Babe Ruth, the greatest baseball player ever! The Babe was also born in Baltimore so there is a more reason to visit.

Sports Saturdays: Orioles’ Davis Suspended

The Orioles’ first baseman, Chris Davis, has been suspended 25 games by Major League Baseball after he tested positive for amphetamines.
Davis accepted his suspension immediately, saying, “I apologize to my teammates, coaches, the Orioles organization and especially the fans. I made a mistake by taking Adderall. I had permission to use it in the past, but do not have a therapeutic use exemption this year. I accept my punishment and will begin serving my suspension immediately.”

Looking for some great sports action just before NFL Sunday? Look no further than Reitz Arena.
The Loyola Greyhounds volleyball team will be hosting a volleyball tournament, known as the Greyhound Challenge, this Friday and Saturday in Reitz Arena.
The tournament will feature the Dartmouth Big Green, the Saint Francis Red Flash, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, and your very own Loyola Greyhounds.
The Greyhound Challenge is a round-robin tournament between the four teams. The schedule of games is as follows:
