Sports Saturdays: Volleyball Tourney in Reitz

Looking for some great sports action just before NFL Sunday? Look no further than Reitz Arena.
The Loyola Greyhounds volleyball team will be hosting a volleyball tournament, known as the Greyhound Challenge, this Friday and Saturday in Reitz Arena.
The tournament will feature the Dartmouth Big Green, the Saint Francis Red Flash, the Quinnipiac Bobcats, and your very own Loyola Greyhounds.
The Greyhound Challenge is a round-robin tournament between the four teams. The schedule of games is as follows:

Where: Inner Harbor
Established in 1879, this museum was created to preserve the Jewish American history and culture. The second largest port of immigration to the United States was here in Baltimore, bringing two great waves of Jewish immigrants. This museum is the only museum in America with two historic synagogues preserved for the public. They are situated right in the heart of a historic Jewish neighborhood.

The Baltimore LED Art Billboard

It began as a vision for Will Shanklin 8 years ago. At Artscape 2014 it was officially unveiled. This amazing structure is providing a much needed relief from the usual billboards crowding our streets and is creating visibility for a huge collection of artists in the region FOR FREE. Will Shanklin, the artist and visionary behind the billboard’s development and operation sat down for a chat with me right before the official launch of the billboard at Artscape 2014. He shared his idea for the billboard, it’s future and how it can impact art and Baltimore in a positive way. (more…)
