With a variety of exhibits ranging from Neil Leiffer’s photography, featuring the photo we all know of Muhammad Ali’s knockout punch to Sonny Liston , to “The Locker Room: Kid’s Discovery Zone”, to the Oriole’s Hall of Fame, the Sports Legends Museum will cater to any and all of your athletic obsessions. The Great Blacks in Wax Museum offers a cultural and educational experience that is a unique landmark in Baltimore. The first wax museum to appear in Baltimore and the first African American was museum in the nation, the Great Blacks in Wax museum is committed solely to preserving African American history and shining a light on African ancestry and its uniqueness. More than 100 wax figures are displayed in the museum to demonstrate dramatic scenes from the lives of historical figures such as Harriet Tubman, Billie Holiday, and many more! Looking for something fun, fact-filled, and free to do with your family? A visit to the Hampton National Historic Site may be the perfect thing! In the early 1800s, Captain Charles Ridgley had the beautiful mansion built as his “Palace in the Wilderness”, and it later housed his nephew, Governor Charles Ridgley and his family, servants, indentured slaves, British prisoners of war, and craftsmen. The mansion is not only a historical gold mine, but an aesthetic must-see. The site offers free tours of the mansion and the lands, or feel free to explore the wealth of artifacts and scenery on your own! Find out more on the website!

O! Say, can you see this house? This museum, located in Little Italy, was once the home and place of business of  famed Mary Pickersgill. Mary created the flag that inspired Francis Scott Key’s “Star-Spangled Banner.” Check out this home that is equipped with 19th century furniture and things.
