Deep from the archives of the WLOY station emerges the Kat and Rae interview with Baltimore natives, Swampcandy. Way back in the winter of 2014, Kat and I sat down with Swampcandy after their appearance at a WLOY Late Night. The energetic, floppy haired duo told us of their travels to Europe and what it’s like to tour. In addition to pleasing our ears with the sweet sounds. Loyolapalooza 2014

Loyola’s annual closing-of-the-year celebration, Loyolapalooza, was held on Sunday, April 27th. Students, faculty, friends, families, neighbors and–yes–even strangers, gathered to commemorate another productive academic year. Winners of this year’s WLOY Battle of the Bands, sisters Cecilia and Tessa Grace opened-up the show. Star Search 2014!

This year at WLOY, we have started a new tradition with our Star Search Talent Show! 12 Loyola talents took to the stage this past Thursday, April 24th and fought their hearts out for a 6-foot-tall Star Search Trophy! After the night, judges from WLOY and Greycom Studios named Mathew Dumbar the victor, followed by runner-up Brandon Newby & Brenden Clark, and second runner-up Amanda Fleck. Also, our special guest, Disable Time put on a face melting performance. Check out the photos!

Caleb Stine Interview
