Make way.. Miranda and The Beat are hot and ready to reignite the New York City rock music scene. They happily disregard the limitations of staying within one genre, ranging from punk, garage, and soul. While Miranda and The Beat can technically be classified as rock, they have no problem pushing the bounds of each genre while adding their individual, fresh taste. Arriving in the Big Apple in 2018, Miranda and The Beat have brought a new energy, collabing with rock idols such as The Mystery Lights and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. They’re, for sure, expected to succeed their current reputation and break the bounds of their anticipated fame.
Although they have released several singles, Miranda and The Beat are proud to announce that this is their first album. Their self-entitled album, MIRANDA AND THE BEAT, consists of 10 tracks, each providing a poison for your picking. Of the 10 tracks, my personal favorites have to be “Sweat”, “Out Of My Head”, and “I’m Not Your Baby.” They exude a sound similiar to Artic Monkeys, providing a grunged-out vibe with raspy, yet whiny, vocals. The tone of the music resembles those of 1960’s classics, genuinely building upon their unique sound. Their music, while duplicable, can only truly be done by them. Their smooth and easy tracks give indie, alternative, and other genres a run for their money as Miranda and The Beats have proven they can be one of the bests.
