WLOY presents “The Encore,” where we spotlight our favorite artists that have visited the station. This week: Skribe
Skribe, is a self-proclaimed garage folk artist from Baltimore, MD. His music range matches that of his personality — eccentric, yet down to earth. Skribe’s and artistic output began in 2009 with his 14-track album, “Doin’ The Dirt.” With that, he has released two others, “Postcards” and “Less is More,” both offering a distinct contribution to his discography. Since then, his music journey has aged into fine wine, gathering and developing his sound and style. His newest track, “Miracles of Alchemy” confirms Skribe’s knowledge of who he is, but definitely shows his versality.
WLOY is thankful for our relationship and musical ties to the artist, working with him at various venues throughout the years, such as Honfest. We’ve also had the pleasure of welcoming Skribe at our campus events, including Coffeehouse, WLOY’s nightly programming event hosting local artists. We even had the opportunity to interview Skribe in station back in 2021 right before Covid, where he shared some valuable insight on music, life, and his plans at the time. Check out his 2021 interview here! Also, interested in seeing Skribe perform? Find more information on his performances here!
