4. 2006: J Dilla, influential hip-hop producer and rapper, passed away just days after releasing his critically acclaimed album Donuts.

5. 2012: Whitney Houston was found dead in a Beverly Hills hotel, shocking the music world and ending the career of one of the greatest vocalists of all time.
