1. 1991: Nirvana’s second studio album, ‘Nevermind,’ was released. It became one of the defining albums of the grunge era and propelled Nirvana to international fame.
2. 1997: Radiohead released their critically acclaimed third studio album, ‘OK Computer.’ The album is often cited as one of the greatest of all time and marked a significant evolution in the band’s sound.
3. 2000: Madonna released her eighth studio album, ‘Music.’ The album featured a blend of electronic and pop music influences and became a commercial success worldwide.

1. 1965: The Kinks release “See My Friends,” becoming one of the first rock tracks to incorporate Indian raga influences, pioneering the use of non-Western musical elements in rock music.
2. 1971: Carole King’s “Tapestry” hits #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. “Tapestry” reached the top of the charts, becoming one of the best-selling albums of all time and establishing her as a leading figure in music.
3. 1972: The Rolling Stones‘ album “Exile on Main St.” reaches #1 on the US charts. The critically acclaimed double album, known for its raw sound and eclectic style, topped the charts in the United States.

Juneteenth, a day celebrating the end of slavery in the United States, is marked this year by the “Rhythm Liberation Fest,” organized by BLK ASS FLEA MKT and Love Groove Ent. This event features a range of activities, including a Kids Corner, workshops, panel discussions, and a vinyl swap for music lovers. Live performances by Akilah Divine, Love Groove, and Black Assets will energize the crowd, celebrating Black culture and artistry. (more…)

They are known for their dreamy, psychedelic sound that blends elements of jazz, funk, and rock. Townsville alt-pop artist Winifred has released her new EP, “Carpet of Flowers,” which includes a title track and accompanying music video. The EP draws on themes of nature’s beauty and fragility to reflect human experiences, a prominent area of reflection for Winifred. The title song, inspired by a walk-through Islington and a collaboration with London producer Tutara Peak, features soothing harmonies and lyrics expressing a gentle desire for love. Winifred personalizes her music through the incorporation of EDM sounds, significantly drawing her apart from other mainstream artists. (more…)

Last Dinosaurs, formed in 2007 is an indie rock band originating from Brisbane, Australia. The group includes Sean Caskey (vocals, guitar), Lachlan Caskey (vocals, guitar), Danjuro Koyama (drums), and Michael Sloane (bass). The groups history can be traced back to high school, where Sean and Dan met and formed “The Cairos,” before creating Last Dinosaurs. This past May, the Australian group released their album, KYORYU. The piece includes 13 tracks, with each contributing an intricate sound to the work.

Arts Fishing Club, hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, is a band with a story as interesting as their sound. The group formed through the meeting of Christopher Kessenich, Matt Siffert, Jimi Greene, Brian Kempson, and Peter Eddins. Each member brings their own musical journey and influences, creating a personalized blend of folk, alt-country, and indie rock. Their sound definitely resonates with their audience, building a 75,000 monthly listener count on Spotify. With their dynamic live performances, they have shared the stage with renowned artists like Langhorne Slim, Darlingside, and The Last Bison, cementing their place in the contemporary music scene.
