This classic will be playing at the Hippodrome with everyone’s favorite characters, Annie and Daddy Warbucks. Come out and hear “It’s a Hard Knock Life” and many others live in Baltimore!

When: Saturday, October 25 at 7:00pm
Time to get prepared for Halloween in Baltimore! The Creative Alliance helped put together beautiful lanterns that will brighten up the night as well as people’s moods during this event. This organization works closely with artists, activists and communities in Baltimore to create wonderful cultural experiences like the Great Halloween Lantern Parade! Come out and get in the Halloween spirit!

Tourism Tuesdays: Evergreen Museum & Library

The Evergreen Museum is just located right next to Loyola! It has a beautiful garden attached with an equally beautiful building. This building was owned by Baltimore’s Garrett family who ruled the railroads back in the day. So, you can guess how beautiful this house is on the inside! You are welcome to tour this beautiful home or just enjoy the grounds. (Fun Fact: Netflix’s House of Cards was filmed there.)

Museum Mondays: National Museum of Dentistry

Sports Saturdays: Patriot League Golfer of the Month

The Hounds have a special golfer in Matt Oshrine, who was just named the Corvias Patriot League Men’s Golfer of the Month for September.
Oshrine, a hometown sophomore from Baltimore, has lit up the course for the Hounds, leading the team with a stroke average of 68.16 for the month of September, rounding out to an average round of 4-under par.
Oshrine started his stellar September by setting a new Loyola 54-hole record, carding a score of 16-under in his first collegiate tournament.

Food Friday: Golden West Cafe

Hipsters unite at this new-wave Mexican restaurant in Hampden. Golden West has an assortment of sandwiches, salads, and Mexican foods that are also vegetarian and Vegan friendly! Golden West also uses local producers to create their mouthwatering pieces such as their Tilapia Tacos and Warm Apple, Brie, and Pesto Sandwich. If you are looking for something for breakfast, well, they have that, too! The inside is covered in cool-as-anything decor, so you’re entertained and full of delicious foods.

Theater Thursday: The Charles Theatre

The movie theaters are a great place to get to see new films as soon as they come out. The Charles Theatre plays everything from indie flicks to foreign films. This theater features Cinema Revival, which allows visitors to enjoy some classic films in Charles Street’s most interesting historic building. If you aren’t an oldies type, (but how could you not be) then you can enjoy some new indie flicks!
