TAUK is a captivating band that consistently pushes the boundaries of genre. The New York based-group has teamed up with vocalist, Kanika Moore, to complete their latest album, “TAUK Moore.” Their unique fusion of rock, jazz, and EDM creates a sonic landscape, proving they’re not afraid to experiment with their sound. The band’s intricate sound arrangements shine through on almost every track, showcasing their immense talent; more than worthy of our favorite album of the week.
“TAUK Moore” is an enthralling album that greatly translates the band’s creative vision. I can confidently say that I enjoyed the album, adding at least 6 tracks to the WLOY playlist. “Deal Breaker” immediately grabs your attention with its powerful energy and vocals. “Daydreams” takes an introspective turn with its dreamy and melodic hooks (makes sense). “Supernova” and “Along the Living” were among my favorites as they highlight Moore’s potent voice and TAUK’s famous instrumental aspects. The 9-track collection shows TAUK’s ability to fuse different genres and create a sound that captivates listeners. The collaboration between TAUK and Kanika Moore is extremely complementary as their passion for music intertwines. “TAUK Moore” is a standout album that highlights their musical versatility.
TAUK Moore will be continuing their tour in Kempton, PA, from August 31st-September 4th at the Karnival of the Arts! A local band with Loyola alumni, Greasy Hands, will also be featured at the festival. Check out more information here.
