Sophie Jamieson is an alternative and indie singer. She’s starting off the year right with a full studio album called I Still Want to Share. The album features a wide variety of music, ranging from guitar to orchestral instruments like violin and cello, adding warmth to the sound. One of my top picks from the album is “Camera,” which also happens to be the title track.
The song features the elegant sounds of the string bass, cello, and violin. When I listen to this album, I feel a mixture of gloom and warmth, almost with a touch of mystery. The pre-chorus of “Camera” reminds me of the sound in Paramore’s “The Only Exception.” The album is calming, yet it constantly leaves you on the edge, wanting more. If you’re a fan of Laufey (minus the jazz), I think you’ll enjoy Sophie Jamieson’s I Still Want to Share album.
