Bay Ledges, led by Zach Hurd, brings a unique twist to indie-pop with a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Hurd started the project as a way to channel his personal experiences into music, and over time, it’s become a platform for exploring the complexities of life. Their second album, “Rivers,” is a reflection of Hurd’s journey through love and loss, influenced by the serene yet powerful rivers from his home state of Maine. The album is a soothing, introspective listen, filled with dreamy melodies and a sense of calm that draws you in.
“Rivers” is a perfect example of Bay Ledges’ signature style. It’s got this hypnotic vibe that makes you feel like time is slowing down. The soft, flowing melodies paired with Hurd’s introspective lyrics create a relaxing, almost meditative atmosphere. As the song progresses, you can feel the emotional depth, almost like you’re drifting along with the currents Hurd is singing about. It’s a track that invites you to pause, reflect, and just be in the moment, capturing the essence of what makes Bay Ledges’ music so captivating.
