Review: Fickle Friends, the indie-pop group originating from Brighton, East Sussex, England and made up of members Natassja Shiner (vocals, keyboard), Harry Herrington (bass, backing vocals), Sam Morris (drums) and Jack Wilson (keyboards) began their music careers as a group in 2014 with their single Swim. Since their first release in 2014 the group has released two albums You Are Someone Else (2018) and Are We Gonna Be Alright (2022), as well as multiple singles within that time.  Their upcoming album which Swoon will be on is being released this year on November 7th, 2025.

Swoon is a song that you can listen to at any point of the day. The song radiates with a kinetic energy that makes it the perfect listen for spring and summer days. Their sound is fun, and the hook is catchy, which gets stuck in your head after one or two listens. Compared to the group’s debut album, You Are Someone Else, this record stands out in their catalog. The song is strongly highlighted by others for fully embodying the spring/summer vibe that people want to hear while also highlighting the band’s strong songwriting and creative direction. Swoon is one of my most listened to songs this year, and I just cannot get enough of the track overall. I recommend giving it a listen and venturing deeper into the group’s discography.
