Bitty McLean Interview (INK)
January 22nd, 2019 by The Professor
Linton “Junior” Hinds ’06, our alumnus host of the amazing I Never Knew radio show, caught up with the talented and very busy Bitty McLean for an exclusive hour of reasoning. The British/Jamaican singer, songwriter, producer and engineer speaks about the influence of his fathers record collection, sound system culture in London, being a engineer for UB40, and transitioning in to a reggae artist. Bitty also explains the creation of his classic album ‘On Bond Street’, and the artistic relationship with reggae legends Sly and Robbie. Pieces of the interview have aired on the weekly I Never Knew show (Sundays 9-11am) but here is the complete exclusive interview. We have many more INK interviews to add so keep watching this space!
