With Halloween creeping up on us, what better way to satisfy your hunger for haunting than viewing miniature models of real-life murders? At the State of Maryland’s Medical Examiner’s office lies the Nutshell Studies of Unexplained Deaths, a collection of miniature models of bloody crime scenes that are both eerie and realistic. In fact, the dollhouse-like scenes are on a scale of one foot to one inch, replicating the exact layout of the crimes as they occurred, but in the eyes of a six-inch tall Sherlock Holmes.
