Whitesnake’s new album The Purple Album, released earlier in 2015, shows that after a 35+ year career, they still have relevance today, and are still very talented. This album shows the band’s musical flexibility, with styles ranging from metal, to soft rock, to their more familiar classic rock feel. It should be said that I am only really familiar with their more commercially successful songs, specifically Still of the Night and Here I Go Again, so I am not aware of the band’s evolution in style over the years. However, this does give me a clear perspective on their skill and the quality of the music on this new album. (more…)

Thursdays 12-2PM and Saturdays 4-6PM
How good is Crucial Cuts and it’s host Earl Crown? Well, just ask the listeners on RadioFlag all over the world. They nominated, flagged and supported his show right into the winners circle!
WLOY is VERY pleased to present the Fall 2014 Best Music Show as voted on RadioFlag: CRUCIAL CUTS WITH EARL CROWN. This might go to his head, but what the heck, he earned it with his fantastic mix of music, showing up for work with broken ribs, timing his smoke breaks perfectly, and bringing in some cool interviews.
Congratulations to Earl Crown for winning! Tune in for the live show on Thursdays Noon-2pm and the repeats on Saturdays 4-6pm. You can download the RadioFlag app to listen to the stream wherever you go and interact with our award winning DJs!

Teddy and Brandon host the show Music ‘N’ Stuff that plays every Monday from 8:00-9:00pm. There detication to the station has lead to their new rein as DJs of the Month! Teddy and Brandon are always quick to respond to emails and volunteer for events. These kids are down right awesome. WLOY can always count on Teddy and Brandon to support the station, whether it be following us on social media or promoting us in their daily lives! And because they support us, we want to support them as DJs of the Month! Make sure you listen to them on Mondays!

These two DJs are always rockin’ out on their show, It’s a Hard Rock Life. Their Wednesday show from 3:00-4:00pm is so rockin’ that they have just won DJs of the Month! They embody everything WLOY, which is being cool, fun, and having a great taste in music. These two cool cats also just went the extra nine yards and added an extra show called It’s a Harder Rock Life that features even more Hard Rock jams that airs every Saturday 12:00-1:00am. Matt and Ian even were at WLOY over the Summer to make more listeners happy year round. If you haven’t heard them yet, you have two chances… every week… LISTEN TO THEM!
Good Job, Matt and Nick!
