Tourism Tuesday: National Aquarium in Baltimore

October 5th, 2010 by WLOY Staff

To kick off Tourism Tuesday, it’s go big or go home. One of the biggest and best attractions in Baltimore is none other than the National Aquarium. Whether you’re just in town for the weekend or a Harbor regular, the aquarium is constantly filled with new exhibits and new adventures.

As home to over 16,000 specimens, including birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles, there is never a shortage on memorable experiences. Right now you can see what it’s like to go underwater, with both the “Jellies Invasion: Oceans Out of Balance,” showing the real health of our planet, and the new dolphin show, “Our Ocean Planet,” from their point of view.

Still want to go further? Put yourself in the center of the action with the unique 4-D Immersion Theater, a combination of 3D experiences with extraordinary sensory effects. Not to mention you can immerse yourself in a different way: using the aquarium to get involved in a variety of conservation programs around Baltimore.

Don’t miss an incredible opportunity to get up close and personal with Baltimore and life under the sea.

The National Aquarium in Baltimore is located at:
501 East Pratt Street
Baltimore, MD 21202

Ticket prices range from $19.95 to $29.95 and are available at the door and online at http://www.aqua.org/buytickets.html
