Radio RockonTour, an original broadcast concept for discerning Concertphiles, is a weekly presentation streaming on WLOY online Tuesdays at Noon. Tim Tilghman hosts a musically engaging program, mixing classic rock with new releases, live tracks, and obscure surprises.
Broadcast playlists are individually tailored programs. Since June 20120, continuous broadcasts have yielded unique theme show titles: “Friends In Baltimore”, “Busking with the Beatles”, “Live Aid 1985: Silver Anniversary”, “Red Lights at the Repeerbahn”, “That `70s Broadcast”, “Rolling with the Stones”, “I’m In The Audience!”, “Vinyl Vibrations”, “The Forever 27 Club”, “Happy Xmoose”, “Rock the Juke Box”, “Birthday Bonanza”, “Mobtown Rules”, “The Reign of Rain”, and “Classy Trashy Sexy Sassy” to identify a sampling of the outstanding radio productions.
Exciting guests welcomed on Radio RockonTour some of whom include Chris Grace from Blacklight Rumble, Greg Hawkes keyboardist with The Cars, Beatles concert promoter Sid Bernstein, Rod Davis original member of The Quarrymen, renown Canadian bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, Rolling Stones author Bill German, original Beatles drummer Pete Best, Beatle George’s sister Louise Harrison, Rutles composer Neil Innes, British Boogie Woogie pianist Ben Waters, Yardbirds drummer Jim McCarty, blues guitarist Chris Simmons, as well as “Love Me Do” drummer Andy White. Expect more fascinating celebrity guests appearing in future interviews.
Tim anticipates inviting artists and bands to jam live inside the station studio for exclusive intimate performances. Showcasing emerging artists is a priority objective.
