Tourism Tuesday: The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore

June 7th, 2011 by Amanda Nolan

Looking for a wild time? Head down to The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore to meet all of your safari needs. The zoo is home to various mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians that are all waiting to be ogled at by random bystanders.

Throughout the summer, the Maryland Zoo hosts different events that engage visitors with the animals themselves. On Sunday June 26, the Chris and Martin Kratts, the stars of the PBS series “Wild Kratts,” are coming to perform two live shows. After the shows, the Kratts brothers will also be available to sign autographs and to take pictures. Tickets are limited, and prices vary between members and non-members.

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore is located in Druid Hill Park. Any questions concerning hours and ticketing or directions can be found on the Zoo’s website.
