Super Power Up!

Host: Player One (former DJ @ WRUW-FM 91.1 Cleveland)
Thursdays 11pm-1am

Super Power Up! showcases the many different types and genres of music that are from and inspired by video games :

*a variety of original video game soundtracks (from as far back as I can find, up to the present day)

*chiptunes and bitpop (there are so many great artists and compositions out there, with quality new works being produced at a phenomenal rate!)

*covers and arrangements (performed in a wide range of styles, from fully computer generated to entirely live)

*completely original works inspired by video games (a great example of this is the Protomen, who perform original rock operas based on the Mega Man series of games)

The music runs the gamut from the classic “bleeps and bloops” to fully orchestrated productions, and everything in between (rock, techno, hip-hop, country… you name it)! The composers and performers range from the more well-known (such as Nobuo Uematsu and Koji Kondo) to the up-and-coming (such as Kyle Gabler, composer of the soundtrack from “World of Goo”).
