Lindsay Vanderheiden has a BSW and is currently serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Health Care for the Homeless in Baltimore. Lindsay is a coordinator for the “Faces of Homelessness” Speakers’ Bureau a public education program that puts a human “face” on homelessness dispelling the stereotypes many people have regarding persons experiencing homelessness. Lindsay’s first introduction to sitting down for conversations with people experiencing homelessness was in 2004 at a café for the homeless called Café 458 in Atlanta, GA.
