Food Fridays: Mt. Washington Tavern

On the morning of October 31, 2011, Mount Washington Tavern suffered from a two-alarm fire. Although the owner states the fire was a “total loss,” they intend to rebuild and reopen as soon as they can. This fire came as quite a shock to the community who has been eating at the Tavern for over 30 years. I can honestly say, I am counting down the days until the rebuild is completed. Theater Thursdays: Laughter For Recovery

Laughter is the best medicine. The Jewish Recovery Center is the largest and only drug and alcohol abuse recovery program in the country for Jewish men and women. Addiction is a serious disease that thousands of Americans suffer from. In an attempt to raise money to help fund recovery, the JRC is hosting their Fifth Annual “Laughter for Recovery” on November 5, 2011 at 8 PM. This year Jay Mohr, actor and stand-up comic, hosts the event.
It is being held at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts in Owings Mills. Tickets range from $75 to $150 depending on seating location. All are welcome to attend, laugh hard, and support a great cause! Read the rest of this entry »
