July 22nd, 2013 by Chris Furino
The Walters Art Museum – 600 N Charles St.
Every Thursday until August 29th, the Walters will be having “Constellation Thursdays.” These weekly events will allow to the museum to be opened for extended hours and let patrons see what goes on “after dark.” Visitors will be able to wander the galleries, see special exhibitions for free, eat in the museum’s new cafe, and visit the gift shop! This weekly event is perfect for families with kids in summer camp, students in class, or adults who work the regular 9 to 5! Plus, the Walters has some really interesting exhibits, like Site Unseen, on display for patrons to see.
The museum will also be hosting the Here and Now Party Thursday, July 25th during its weekly “Constellation Thursday” event. This event is totally free and open to the public! While advance tickets are sold out, guests can still enter at the door the day of the event. The event itself will shine a spotlight on two exhibits: The Sondheim Artscape Finalist Exhibition and Site Unseen. Gregory Vershbow. Plus, The Here and Now Party will also feature Mosaic Night Club’s cash bar, live entertainment by DJ Jus-Spin, and projections from 2011 Sondheim Prize winner Matthew Porterfield. This event is guaranteed to be an exciting, art-filled evening!
