Mayor’s Christmas Parade ’11
December 6th, 2011 by Kate Marshall
The fine folks in charge of the Mayor’s Christmas Parade invited little old us to join in the fun again. Honored, and wiser after last year’s candy cane shortfall, we armed ourselves with 1,000 canes, plus little stuffed critters and fabulous snowballs. Well… that didn’t last nearly as long as we hoped as the turnout (thanks to the above zero temps) was huge. Some of the great kids in our (National Award Winning) What Happens Next? program came and walked with us, giving out candy like professional elves. We also added tunes and put Santa Hillary in the sleigh to keep things lively. Hillary appreciated all the attention but refuses to let us hand out her phone number guys, sorry. Next year we need to spice it up even more… ideas? Want to see some fabulous photos as we tried to be elves?

Wow, what a lame Fox radio van, you’d think they would have been a bit more into the season… maybe like WLOY?
