Extra, extra! Read all about it! Don’t miss your chance to see Newsies at the Hippodrome Theatre! This 5-star show is based on Disney’s 1922 film about New York City newsboy’s strike of 1899. Filled with Broadway classics, lavish choreography, and a wonderful storyline, Newsies will surely entertain you. The show has won 2 Tony Awards, and Vogue called it, “Electrifying”. Get into the holiday spirit at the 43rd annual Monument Lighting! The lighting of the Washington Monument will fill you with joy as a spectacular fireworks show lights the sky and a choreographed laser finale dances around the monument. Starting at 5:30, there will be pre-ceremony events such as performances by local choirs and refreshments, and the official ceremony will begin at 7:00. Tourism Tuesdays: The Baltimore Zoo

Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh my! There’s more where that came from at the Baltimore Zoo! You can see tons of different exhibits, including elephants, chimps, reptiles, and more! There are also fun opportunities such as feeding giraffes and penguins. The zoo’s goal is to care for and preserve the amazing animals that exist around the world, especially those whose populations are declining by the masses such our largest land mammals, the elephant. With exhibits full of ceramic vases, teapots, cups, bowls, and much more, the nonprofit ceramic art center aims to develop and sustain a community that provides programs for those interested in educating, collaborating, and celebrating artwork. If you want to try your hand at this beautiful skill, you can take a class at the ceramic center! You will not be disappointed by this beautiful gallery! Sports Saturdays: Snow Moves Bills-Jets To Detroit

sports saturdays Let it snow, let it snow, oh wait no! Make it stop! That’s what the people of Buffalo are singing right now after having upwards of 8 feet of snow dumped on them in recent days.

With not enough resources to have Ralph Wilson Stadium ready for go-time on Sunday at 1:00pm, the NFL has decided to move the AFC East game against the Jets away from Buffalo.

Players have even resorted to trekking to the stadium on foot for practice this week. Bills wide receiver Chris Hogan tweeted out Friday morning, “Still snowed in! Walking to the stadium.”

The game between the Jets and the Bills will be played at Ford Field in Detroit, where weather can not possibly be a factor, seeing as it is a totally enclosed stadium.

It will be hard not to sing along with Adkins as holiday spirit trickles into the Lyric Opera House. The show also features songs from Adkins’ Celtic Christmas album, The King’s Gift. Celtic Christmas music seems like an unusual genre for Adkins, but he does it beautifully!
